Srednja škola Metković is a secondary vocational school in Metković, Dubrovnik-Neretva county,Croatia. Our school was founded in 1997 and it is one of the biggest vocational schools in this part ofCroatia. Our school has many departments: Business, Administration, Driver/Transport, Catering industry,Civil Engineering, Fashion design and Electronics. The most popular one is that of the catering industry.Pupils study general subjects as well ( Croatian Language, Geography, History, Foreign languages, Literature, Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry etc.) The number of pupils have decreased in the last few years. Our pupils and teachers are motivated and we have been involved in many extracurricular activities such as Erasmus+ projects, eTwinning projects, charity work, volunteering etc. We are especially motivated for projects connected with cooking, catering industry beacuse it gives us opportunity to develop knowledge from various types of cuisines around Europe which is very important for our students.In our area there are many traditional restaurant and we are well known for frog and eel stew. Parrticipating in this great project will be a great oppportunity for our pupils to improve their knowledge in this specific area and we would like to offer our pupils the best educational environment through observation andexperience in international projects such as Erasmus+. Participating in thisErasmus+ project would be a great opportunity for our pupils to get more insight in different types of cuisine.We want ourpupils to improve their awareness on this way of learningand its importance for our future and lives in general. Wehave a motivated Erasmus+team of teachers and pupils. The people in charge in Srednja škola Metković are teachers of English, Geography, History, Croatian Language, Science and teachers of cooking.We have support of our principal,other colleagues and local community as well. We have experience in Erasmus+ projects nad we have successfully participated in four Erasmus+ projects. Also, we received a National Quality Label and European quality Label for our eTwinning project „Water unites us – school strategic partnership). Through participation in various Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects, our teachers and pupils have gained collaborative and teamwork skills, organizational and managerial skills, communication, presentation skills, and a number of social skills important for theimplementation of the project activities.
