The LP Louis Armand is an establishment which provide professionnal courses in Catering (Cooking and restaurant), Car maintenance and Industriel equipment maintenance.The 240 students are between 15 and 19 years old and prepare CAP (Professionnal Aptitude Certificate) in 2 years or BAC Professionnel (Professionnel Baccalaureate) in 3 years.70 adults supervise the students.The LP is ideally situated, in a small town of 6 000 residents, 15 minutes far from the Atlantic Ocean and 40 minutes far from Nantes, the biggest town in the west of France.-Motivation :This project will allow, through exchanges set up, to share knowledge, working techniques, methods and learning practices and discover new working methods and new equipments. The pupils of our sections participating in the project will concretely and fully integrate the notions of European citizen as both actor and responsible consumer.The participating students will write group projects to identify specific uses of each partner (gastronomy, product culture, farming and meal habits), technical data sheets and food supplies. Through this project, participants will be able to share and improve learning, teaching and training activities. They will be able to perfect their speaking skills and speaking a foreign language (English). They will be able to build lasting links between pupils of different nationalities. They will learn how to produce and disseminate synthesis documents (recipes, slideshows, videos, tutorials) in a foreign language (English) and produce innovative recipes. They will discover the heritages, cultures and food habits of other European countries.-Key people:MOINARD Luc, in case I leave this post in the future,CREAC’H Pauline will take over this role : pauline.creac-h@ac-nantes.fr +33 671 469 115-Specific experience or expertise :Our school is equiped with several production areas : 2 kitchens – 6/12 workstations each, 1 pastry/bakery workshop - 6/12 workstations, 2 dining rooms – 40/50 seats each. All theses production areas are 6 years old and equiped with relatively new equipments and educational materials.
